Summer Programs

Fondly known as 'The Brennan Centre' to thousands of Newfoundland school children, the Environmental Education Centre is a residential outdoor school dedicated to helping students learn about the environment. To learn more about our school program come and see our new video.

It is also a perfect destination for family reunions, retreats, artistic workshops, youth camps or simple relaxation.
Learn More About Us

Our half-unit Environmental Education teacher was made redundant in June of 2016. To preserve the quality and science basis of our school program the Directors of the Environmental Education Commission (EEC) have decided to retain the current teacher as part of the Brother Brennan Centre staff. To fund this position the EEC has decided to increase student camp fee from $50 to $60. The EEC realizes this increase will be a significant burden to some already financially challenged families. To help ensure that no student is left behind, the EEC has created a new ‘Student Support Fund’, which will be primarily supported by donations. When necessary, schools can request to have the student’s fee partially or fully waived. The EEC regrets having to make this fee increase, our first in six years, but the current fiscal climate requires us to do so.
